The film “THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE”, directed by Magnus von Horn and based on a true story, tells the story of a young factory worker, Caroline (Vic Carmen Zonne), who struggles to survive in Copenhagen after the First World War. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dürholm), a charismatic woman who runs an underground adoption agency that helps mothers find adoptive families for their unwanted children. Because Karolina takes on the role of a nurse when there is no other way out. A strong bond develops between the two women, but Karolinen’s world crumbles when she learns the shocking truth about her job.
